Babur - Also known as "the tiger", defeated the rulers of Delhi and was the founder of the Mughal Empire.
Mughal Empire - Muslim Empire in India. Akbar the Great - Baburs grandson who took over throne at age 13 after Babur died. Known as the greatest of all Mughal rulers. Sikhism - Founded by Guru Narak, blended elements of both Islam and Hinduism. Shah Jahan - Janangirs son, experienced a cultural Golden Age while he was ruler. Taj Mahal - Designed by Persian architects, and displayed elements of Indian, Persian, and Muslim styles. Built as a tomb for Shah Jahans wife. Aurangzeb - Mughal Emperor of India, expanded Mughal power to greatest extent. |
